The front parking lot, and the Barn area, including the playground at Marvin Efird Park will close at 4 pm on Saturday April 6th in preparation for that evening’s Moonlight Egg Hunt.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we hope that you will join us that evening starting at 7 pm for what is sure to be an Eggciting Event.

Village Attorney – Accepting requests for proposals (RFPs) for the position of Village Attorney. Position will provide general legal services (policies, regulatory & compliance requirements, litigation, employment law, etc.) to the Village of Marvin. Position will report to a five-member Council & requires the availability for evening meetings and occasional morning meetings. Local government law experience as well as strong interpersonal, research, verbal & written communication skills required. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of N.C. & possess all other qualifications as required by state statute. Chairperson Kelly Cates has called for a special meeting of the Village Planning Board Survey Subcommittee to be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, from 7-8 pm at the Village Hall (10004 New Town Road). The purpose of the meeting is for the Planning Board Survey Subcommittee to discuss and finalize the Resident Survey questions for Council approval at their Regular Meeting on April 10, 2019.

Moonlight Egg Hunt and Spring Movie Night

The Village of Marvin will be hosting two fun events for the whole family at Marvin Efird Park this Spring: (1) Moonlight Egg Hunt on April 6 from 7-9 pm and (2) Spring Movie Night on May 17 from 6-10:30 pm featuring: "Disney’s Ralph Breaks the Internet".

Please take notice that the Marvin Village Council has called for a public hearing to be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 11 am at the Village Hall [10004 New Town Road] to receive public comment on the following:
- To consider approval of Temporary Use Permit #19-12224 for Marvin Movie Night on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 6-10:30 pm at Marvin Efird Park [8909 New Town Road, Marvin, NC 28173] the movie will be presented approximately at 8:15 pm.
- To consider approval of Temporary Uses Permit #19-12237 for Marvin’s First Annual Moonlight Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 6:30-9:00 pm at Marvin Efird Park [8909 New Town Road, Marvin, NC 28173]
The Village of Marvin reserves the right to make amendments to the proposed documents based on information received at the public hearing. Citizens are invited to make written and oral comment.
