PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Please take notice that the Marvin Village Council has called for public hearing to be held Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at Village Hall (10004 New Town Rd.) for the purpose of receiving public comment on the following:
- Conditional Use Permit #CUP 18-12055 for a pool to be located in the side yard without the required minimum side yard setbacks.
- Temporary Use Permit #18-12054 for the Village of Marvin Spring Movie Night to be held Friday, May 8, from 6:30 – 10:30 pm at Marvin Efird Park. The movie “Cars Three” will be shown at dusk on the lawn beside the barn.
The Village of Marvin reserves the right to make amendments to the proposed documents based on information received at the public hearing. Citizens are invited to make written and oral comment. All documents are available for inspection by calling the Village Hall at (704) 843-1680.

Joint Meeting between Village Council and Planning Board

Mayor Joseph E. Pollino, Jr., has called for a special meeting to be held at the Village Hall, 10004 New Town Road. Due to scheduling conflicts, the meeting on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 has been rescheduled to Monday, March 26, 2018, at 6 pm. The purpose of the meeting is to hold a Joint Meeting between the Village Council and Planning Board.

Marvin Ridge High School will host an Art Show Benefit/Auction, Giving from the Heart, on March 21, 2018, 5-8 pm. Enjoy a meal with a variety of delicious food and fun entertainment. Proceeds from dinner will benefit the Union County Community Shelter and auction proceeds will go towards purchasing a new grand piano for chorus.

Mayor Joseph E. Pollino, Jr. has called for a special meeting, to be held at 10012 New Town Road, in the Fellowship Hall of Banks Presbyterian Church. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at 4 pm. The purpose of the meeting is to interview a candidate for the Village Administrator's position.

NCDOT Utility Work

We apologize if you had difficulty reaching Staff at the Village Hall today. We have been experiencing intermittent phone and internet service due to the utility work at Marvin School/New Town and Marvin-Waxhaw/New Town Roads in preparation for the twin roundabouts.

On March 3, 2018, a workday is planned from 8 am until 12 noon in partnership with Boy Scouts of America. They will be replacing the wood around the garden beds.
