The Village of Marvin is committed to providing essential and high quality services to support new and existing development. Listed below are some of the services provided to Marvin taxpayers:
- Careful planning and strict zoning in order to assure that Marvin’s small town values are protected
- Protection of the tree canopy and heritage trees through enforcement of the Tree Ordinance
- Enhanced police protection services through contracts with the Union County Sheriff’s Department which keeps the crime rate low
- Abatement of nuisances (e.g., noise ordinances, lighting ordinances, grass and weed ordinances, and firearms ordinances.)
- Right to vote in Village elections, to serve on the Council and to be appointed to volunteer boards
